Daily life

Cascais is a mid-size city on the coast; Lagos is a town on the coast. Cascais is the seaside town where many of Lisbon's international families live: beaches, good schools and a train to the capital in under an hour. It is one of the most expensive places to rent in Portugal. Lagos is a small Algarve town with famous cliffs and coves, a big English-speaking community and over 3,000 hours of sun a year. It is busy in summer, quiet in winter and you will want a car for anything beyond the town.
