Rent, bills, groceries and transport passes, reported by readers who live there. We never estimate: a typical figure appears for a city once 5 readers have reported the same cost.
No city has enough reports yet. Every city page has a short form: if you live in Europe, adding what you pay for rent or groceries takes under a minute.
Add your city
Open your city page and look for "What readers pay". It is anonymous and only asks for the cost, the amount in euros and the year.
How the figures work
- We show the median, the middle report, so one very high or low figure does not skew it.
- Only reports from the last three years count.
- Each reader can report each cost once per city.
