Daily life
Chania is a mid-size city on the coast; Paphos is a town on the coast. Chania is Crete's most beautiful town, with a Venetian harbour, mountains and some of Greece's best beaches nearby. It is relaxed and good value, but very seasonal and far from North America. Paphos is slower, cheaper and quieter than Limassol: a retirement and lifestyle base with long beach season and a large British community. Our estimate is about €2,050 a month for a single person. It is not set up for nomads who want coworking or nightlife.
