Daily life
Geneva is a large city; Munich is a capital / metropolis. Geneva is the most international city in Switzerland, with the UN, Red Cross and a deep French-speaking expat community, plus the Alps and lake on the doorstep. It is also extremely pricey and rental vacancy is tiny, so many workers live in nearby France. Munich is the safest, cleanest and best-paid city in our German set, with the Alps an hour away and big employers like BMW, Siemens and Allianz. It is also Germany's priciest to rent, and German helps more here than in Berlin.
Living in Geneva: the upsides and downsides
